What is a real life example of cohesion?

Cohesion refers to the tendency for particles to stick together. One simple example of cohesion is when you pull a cotton candy. Sugar molecules are attracted to to eachother, so if you slowly stretch it, the cohesive strength of the fibers allows it to stay intact before eventually snapping.
