Why did USC leave the acc?

USC, along with UCLA, left the Pac-12 Conference to join the Big Ten Conference, not the ACC. The move was primarily driven by financial considerations. The Big Ten offered significantly more lucrative media rights deals, resulting in a much larger revenue share for each member institution. This translated to increased funding for athletic programs, facilities, and student-athlete support. The move also offered greater national exposure and broader recruiting reach.
