How to Place References on an Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a type of research paper where each reference is listed with a one or two paragraph summary and evaluation of that reference listed directly below it. An annotated bibliography is sometimes used as a tool to complete a larger research project, and the annotated bibliography helps to eliminate any sources which are unnecessary and irrelevant. All sources must be cited in proper American Psychological Association (APA) or Modern Language Association (MLA) format. In addition, if you are preparing your annotated bibliography for a class, it is important to use the right citation format as described by your instructor.
