Instructions

    • 1

Acquire study materials. Look for college textbooks in college bookstores since they are excellent study materials. To save money, borrow from a friend or buy the books used. Be sure to acquire more than one book since one text will not sufficiently cover all subjects.

    • 2

Purchase a CLEP Humanities Exam Guide. Download one through the Internet. It contains useful resources such as sample test questions, test-taking tips and additional study resources.

    • 3

Establish a study routine. A strict regimen to follow will aid in getting things done and keep progress on track, ensuring that exam day finds you well prepared.

    • 4

Use practice tests to identify strengths and weaknesses. After completing each practice test, review the answers and explanation of each question so that you better understand it in the future. Completing these tests will also promote confidence and familiarity with taking the test.

    • 5

Concentrate on the areas that need improvement. Once you are aware of your weakest areas, take extra time to focus and improve.

    • 6

Gain life experience. The easiest way to improve knowledge in the areas covered by the humanities test is through personal experiences, such as visiting museums, going to the movies and theatre, listening to classical music and reading.
