In what city is the US steel industry located?

There is not one city in the US where the steel industry is located. Steel mills are located throughout the United States, with some of the largest concentrations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Gary, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio; and Birmingham, Alabama.
