FIEA is a video game design school at the University of Central Florida offering an accredited master's degree in interactive entertainment. There are three main tracks of study. Art teaches students skills needed to become a game artist such as, modeling, shading, texture, and motion capture editing. Programming centers on creating XBOX gaming platforms and up-to-date industry issues like shader programming and memory management. The Production track covers game idea development and team management, and marketing.

Full Sail University offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Game Arts and Game Development. The game art program concentrates on scene design, character creation, physics of motion and other fundamentals of interactive graphic creation. Students learn computer programming for game engines and artificial intelligence in the game development program. A Masters in Game Design is also available for those interested in becoming leaders in the video game industry.

The Art Institute of Florida has four programs in game design. The school focuses on hands-on learning, combining artistic and digital skills.
