What Courses Does a Pharmacy Assistant Need?

For an individual to become a pharmacy assistant, otherwise known as technician or aide, there are no national standards for education. The requirements to work in a pharmacy as a technician vary among states and may require students to obtain their national certification. This certification, although not required in all states, is valid in all states. But employers do favor applicants who have some sort of training or formal education. The courses required in these programs vary depending on the type of program and which institution is offering the program.
