The College of Arts and Sciences at South University offers two masters programs, depending on the campus. An M.A. in Professional Counseling is available at all of South University's campuses except for Austin. An M.S. in Criminal Justice is available at its Columbia, South Carolina, campus. These two master's degrees prepare students for professional work in both fields, as well as for Ph.D. programs at other universities.
South University provides students with the opportunity to earn a Master's in Business Administration at all of its campuses. At four campuses -- Columbia, Montgomery, Tampa and West Palm Beach -- students can earn an MBA in Healthcare Administration. Two campuses -- Savannah and West Palm Beach -- offer an accelerated MBA program, which allows students to complete at MBA in less than a year, rather than in two years like the regular MBA program.
South University offers a Master's in Science in Physician Assistant Studies at its Savannah and Tampa campuses. This degree prepares students for the duties performed by Physician Assistants, including prescribing and dispensing medications in the states where such prescription and dispensation is legal.
A Master of Medical Science Anesthesiologist Assistant program is available at the Savannah campus of South University. This degree program prepares students for work as an anesthesiologist's assistant, and provides experience, in the classroom, field and laboratory, to prepare students to deliver anesthesia care to patients.
The South University campuses in Savannah and Columbia offer students the opportunity to earn a Doctorate in Pharmacy. This accelerated Pharm.D. program allows students to complete the four-year curriculum in just three calendar years. This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and prepares students for professional work as pharmacists.
A variety of graduate degrees are offered via South University's online portals. There are seven master's programs available online, including an MS in Criminal Justice, an MS in Leadership and an MBA. South University offers a Doctor of Business Administration online, also, a program that is intended to be the next step after an MBA.
