Determine the needs of educational researchers, such as required knowledge and resources. Figure out how much they know about educational research and what more they need to know about it. This will enable you to create an educational research design based on these factors. Write the objectives of the educational research design. Then, detail the procedures you will follow to accomplish the objectives.
Develop a chart for those who will conduct educational research. The top of the chart should have spaces for the title of the research and the members who will conduct it. Design additional rows in the chart to include its purpose, the design of research that will be used, data methods that will be used and anticipated results of each method. Beneath the chart, place an area for implications or ways that research will affect educational studies or further research.
Design a second chart for educational researchers to describe literature that will be used, the hypotheses, variables or resources that will be analyzed, a list of participants - if any - involved in the research, potential benefits, limitations and risks, the procedures for gathering data, and method of analyzing the data. For example, use two columns, with each of these factors listed in the column on the left . Researchers can fill in blanks of the second column.
Allow researchers to document how they collect data. To do this, create rows in a chart so that researchers can list data used in the research, including variables and population samples that support the hypotheses. This documentation should be used to validate methods that educational researchers use to collect data.
Design a section for reporting results. Educational researchers must analyze the data collected; therefore, an educator or training and development specialist must create an area for researchers to document their findings and state conclusions.
