The BASIC Fund (Bay Area Scholarships for Inner-City Children) assists low-income families with the cost of private-school tuition. This program is located in the San Francisco Bay area and is privately funded. The mission of BASIC Fund is to expand educational opportunities for inner-city youth. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade qualify for this program. Students also must be attending private schools in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma Counties. However, the school of choice is at the parent's discretion.
The Independent Scholarship Fund (ISF) mission is to supply families with freedom of choice with regard to their children's education. The ISF is a privately funded program for K-12 schools in Contra Costa and Alameda counties. This scholarship pays $1,500 or three-fourths of the student's tuition. As long as the school of choice is a California certified private school located in Contra Costa or Alameda county, ISF will assist with the educational cost.
Tuition Solution has no origination fees and provides parents the options of a flexible payment. This program has a low fixed rate customized to assist families to borrow up to $40,000 in tuition costs. It is a K-12 loan that has no pre-payment penalties and repayment terms from twenty-four to forty-eight months.
The K-12 Family Education Loan is responsible for all education-related expenses. These expenses consist of room and board, books, computers, musical instruments and other extracurricular activities. Borrowers may receive up to $6,000 for extra educational expenses along with the cost of tuition.
The K-12 Family Education Loan minimum is $1000.
