The University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering's Project Management Center for Excellence was the sixth project management program to be established in the world. It was the first program in an engineering school to be accredited by the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Global Accreditation Center. The school has been designated by PMI as a Global Registered Educational Provider. The program is designed by and for engineers and other technical professionals, with regular input from its customers. It boasts a diverse student population from around the world.
The Project Management Program degree offerings include: a minor in project management for undergraduates; Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees; Master of Engineering in project management; graduate certificate in engineering; and professional development training tailored to meet specific customers' needs.
University of Maryland University College (UMUC) offers three distinct Master of Science degrees with specializations in project management, all approved by the Project Management Institute. The Information Technology Master of Science; Management Master of Science; and Technology Management Master of Science degrees specializing in project management are designed for professionals who wish to design and manage projects. The programs are intended to yield students prepared for careers in aerospace, construction, information technology, government contracting and project-based organizations. Graduates receive 1,500 hours of experience toward their Project Management Professional credential. UMUC is headquartered in Adelphi but has campuses worldwide in addition to online programs.
The Keller Graduate School of Management, located in Bethesda, offers a master's degree in projectmanagement degree that has been approved by Project Management Institute's Global Accreditation Center. The school offers a flexible schedule, with both on-site and online offerings. Graduates earn 1,500 hours of project management experience toward the Project Management Professional Credential.
