Should I use Attained a degree or obtained degree?

"Obtained a degree" is more common and generally preferred. "Attained a degree" is grammatically correct but sounds slightly more formal and less frequently used in everyday conversation. Unless you're writing a very formal document, "obtained" is the better choice.
