Choose an online or local college. Community colleges in your area have many programs available online, but you need to see if they have landscape design available. If not, there are online universities that can provide an associate's degree in landscape design.
Research your major. Regardless of what type of school you choose, make sure to research each of the landscape design programs. Find one that fits with what you want. Some colleges have specialties or directives that may not fall into your desires.
Apply to the school. You must fill out an application for the school even if it's online, and you often have to provide transcripts of any previous education including high school. You may be eligible for financial aid and should fill out the federal financial aid forms as well as any scholarships.
Buy your books. Despite being online, many colleges require you to purchase textbooks pertaining to your subject. If you have an online class, you will have to purchase them through amazon.com or another book site. Community colleges often have a bookstore where textbooks can be purchased.
Keep track of your classes. It is very important to keep track of your classes and homework while getting a landscape design degree online. There will be no teachers or students to remind you when something due.
