Distance learning courses rely upon computers to transfer information and submit assignments to professors. A good internet connection is essential. Other requirements include javascript, Windows XP or newer and 1GHz or better processor. You also need a monitor that uses 1024x768 resolution or better, and a DVD/CD ROM. Microsoft Word is the recommended word processor, although some professors accept .rtf files if you do not have a copy of MS Word.
