Schedule an appointment with someone from the admissions office and an academic adviser. Tell them of your interest in medical school. Ask what kinds of grades, work experience and MCAT scores are valued in the admission process.

Inquire about your options for paying for medical school. Have an idea of how you intend to pay your tuition once you are accepted. The cost of medical school can exceed $40,000 a year, so unless you have a healthy savings account, be prepared to use some financial aid.
Prepare a resume. All medical schools will judge you based on your undergraduate grades and MCAT score, but many also consider your work experience outside of college. If you have any job experience in medical related fields, such as science, math and nursing, include them in your resume.
