Does USF have a pre law program?
The University of South Florida offers several pre-law programs for students interested in pursuing a legal career. These programs provide students with a solid foundation in the liberal arts and sciences while also preparing them for the rigors of law school. Some of the pre-law programs offered at USF include: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Pre-Law Concentration This program provides students with a strong grounding in the American political system, as well as the opportunity to explore a variety of legal topics. Required coursework includes courses in American government, constitutional law, criminal justice, and torts. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Pre-Law Concentration This program combines business administration courses with pre-law coursework, providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in law. Required coursework includes courses in accounting, economics, finance, and business law. Bachelor of Arts in History with a Pre-Law Concentration This program allows students to explore the historical foundations of the American legal system, as well as the role of law in society. Required coursework includes courses in American history, European history, constitutional history, and legal history. Bachelor of Arts in English with a Pre-Law Concentration This program provides students with a strong foundation in critical thinking and writing skills, as well as an understanding of the relationship between literature and law. Required coursework includes courses in English literature, American literature, legal writing, and rhetoric. In addition to these pre-law programs, USF also offers a minor in legal studies, which allows students to explore a variety of legal topics without having to commit to a full pre-law program.
