After completing their undergraduate studies at Harvard, students who are interested in pursuing a career in architecture can apply to graduate school in architecture. There are many accredited architecture programs in the United States and abroad. Some popular architecture schools include the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Yale School of Architecture, and the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
In order to become a licensed architect, students must complete a bachelor's degree in architecture and then pass the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). The ARE is a national exam that tests candidates' knowledge of architecture and building design. Once they have passed the ARE, students can become licensed architects and practice architecture in the United States.
