How many years of college do you need to get your BA and Ph.D?

A BA typically takes 4 years of full-time study. A PhD typically takes an additional 4-7 years (or more) after completing a BA. Therefore, it would take a minimum of 8 years and potentially up to 11 years or more to earn both degrees.
