Entrance to one of the Academy of Art University's degrees in web design and new media varies by the degree itself. Students interested in the Associate of Arts degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Design & New Media degree require a high school diploma or GED. Students without these credentials who are over the age of 18 may be admitted after taking an ability test. A portfolio is not required but may provide credit for some classes.
