Founded in 1836 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, Emory University has become a high profile research university focusing on leadership in teaching, health care, social action, research and scholarships. Andrew College is home to the FOCUS program. Designed to help their students with learning disabilities, the FOCUS program works to promote independence by teaching students how to learn.
