How do I Use a TI-84 as a Data Logger?

The TI-84 is a handheld graphing calculator made by Texas Instruments. The TI-84 is pre-loaded with EasyData software by Vernier, which allows for data logging. The data is recorded on a sensor and downloaded to the calculator with a USB cable. Whether you are collecting data in the classroom or out in the field, the TI-84 can record your data and you can analyze it at a later date.

Instructions

      Plug one end of the USB cord into the sensor.

      Plug the other end of the cord into the graphing calculators's USB port, which is located on the calculator's top right-hand side. The EasyLink software will launch automatically on the calculator.

      Press the "Start" key to start collection data.

      Press the "Keep" key to collect a data item.

      Press "Stop" key to stop collecting data.
