Your program likely has capstone presentation requirements that are unique to it. These may include how long the presentation should be and in what order information should be presented (i.e., present objectives first, followed by project methodology and timetable). Make sure you understand and follow the established format closely, or you risk losing points even if your delivery is flawless.
Don't simply read your presentation aloud from paper or your PowerPoint presentation. Talk to your audience. This requires knowing your presentation inside and out. Practice in front of a mirror until you get it right without needing to look at your notes.
While visual aids, like a PowerPoint presentation, should not cover all of the things you will be talking about, you should use them to succinctly state your main points. This will help the people you're making the presentation in front of remember your key points, and will also serve as a memory aid for you as you go through your rehearsed speech.
Cap off your presentation by giving members of your audience an opportunity to ask questions. Be prepared by brainstorming all the possible questions they may ask, and know how you will answer them ahead of time.
