How to Number the Pages of College Essays

In many college courses, such as English, literature review or creative writing, you are often asked to write essays, and they are often a large part of your grade. The grade you receive is based not only on content and grammar, but also the way your paper is formatted. A properly formatted paper has a correctly spaced body and margins, and often includes the page numbers at the top of the page. Including your last name and the page number on every page may help your professor if the pages become separated.
