Undergraduate Electronics Projects

Electronics projects in undergraduate courses are a basic part of many college curricula or programs. Students are usually assigned a dedicated professor for project assistance and guidance. These research projects help professors and institution to gauge the grasp of students' theoretical knowledge and its relevant application through live experiments.
  1. Space-Time Coding

    • This project is carried out to test and implement the coding schemes in space-time differences. Extensive and realistic bench and field testing is essential for verifying and comparing a variety of wireless channel environments. Students can assimilate a thorough understanding of wireless communication systems and also the multiple antenna communication concept. The aim of this project is to compare the different space-time codes as far as power, performance and practicality are concerned.

    Microwave Electronics

    • This project entails millimeter wave and microwave electronic circuits and components for transponder technologies, wireless communication and radar. This project is usually taken up by advanced undergraduate students who have a basic understanding of antennas, microwaves, numerical electromagnetics and millimeter waves.

    Sensor Diversity Experiment

    • The sensor diversity experiment is carried out for identification of complicated objects. These objects have partial obstructions, and viewing the object from different angles can improve the misidentified probability. Technical tools required for this project would be infrared detectors, cameras and rotating directional antennas. This experiment, if carried out in a more complicated environment, would fetch refined results.

    Wireless Location Simulation

    • This simulation project is the key for cellular systems of the future. The aim of the project is to locate and identify a distressed user within a pre-specified accuracy. This simulation activity project is useful in emergency services. However, it is also helpful in tracking mobile targets, online advertisement and security issues. There are some hurdles that this simulation project could encounter, including channel fading, power control, user mobility and multi-user interference. This project would basically accustom the students to such issues along with the scope of the project. The emphasis would be principally on adaptation techniques, courtesy mobility concerns and also the problems relating to statistical model-based evaluation and design.

Wireless Sensor Networks Power and Rate Control

    • The purpose of this project is to simulate and test adaptive strategies for controlling the power consumption and transmission rate in wireless sensor networks. Students, during this project, would get exposure to concepts relating to network modelling, network simulation, adaptive system design and statistical performance measures.
