Devry Associate Degrees

DeVry University has numerous campus located in most states throughout the U.S. The university is designed to offer coursework to the working professional. Many classes are offered online, at night or on weekends. The university offers a variety of degree programs, but it only offers five different associate-degree programs. All of the offered associate programs have flexible learning environments online and during non-business hours to meet students' needs.
  1. Business

    • DeVry University offers an associate degree in accounting. With an associate degree you will learn accounting basics such as tracking financial records, handling payroll and billing. You must amass 65 required credit hours, and put in four full-time semesters to graduate in two years. You can also apply credits earned toward a bachelor's degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis.

    Computers

    • The university offers two separate degrees in computer technology--one in electronics and computer technology and the other in network systems administration. Technology degree holders work in fields such as sales, computer manufacturing, computer installation and maintenance. Network-systems degree holders maintain security controls on computer networks, configure routers and monitor network performance. It will take five, full-time semesters and 71 credit hours to earn an associate degree in electronics and computer technology, and five, full semesters and only 67 credit hours to earn a degree in network systems administration.

    Health

    • Students can earn an associate degree in health information technology. A degree in health information technology will prepare you for one of the 20 fastest-growing occupations through 2012, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The program will prepare you to manage patient health information, which includes medical charts and interpreting medical and billing codes. The program will require four full-time semesters and the completion of 67 credit hours to graduate.

    Art

    • The only associate program available for artistic students is in Web graphic design. You will learn to design graphics for websites, advertising and other multimedia projects using the most popular and professional software programs. By program completion, you will have amassed a few design samples to include as part of your professional portfolios. The program requires five full-time semesters and 67 credit hours to complete.
