Begin studying for the visual concepts portion of the test several weeks in advance of the test. Reviewing a different chapter of a textbook or unit of the curriculum each night will help you become more familiar with the material.
Review any past handouts your teacher or professor gave to your class. Also study any past homework assignments you struggled with, so you can better learn where you struggled and what the correct answers are.
Study any past quizzes. You will be able to see what areas you are the strongest in and which areas you need to devote more study time to.
Review any important key terms and definitions you studied over the semester, such as the functions of specific tools in Adobe Photoshop or the style of a well-known photographer and the title of several of his or her most famous pieces. Using flash cards for important terms and reading definitions out loud may help.
Study the steps necessary to perform any important functions you learned, such using a certain effect in Adobe Photoshop or designing a specific item for a website. Read the steps multiple times and go through them in the relevant application.
