How to Write About Structural Equation Models

Structural equation modeling is a general approach to data analysis involving multiple variables. A structural equation model provides a causal relationship between the different variables involved in a system. It provides researchers with a statistical tool to test the accuracy of mathematical models. Researchers might use the method to test the fit of their model or to decide between two or more causal models. Writing about structural equation models allows researchers to share proof that they have tested their mathematical models using the appropriate methods.
