The Creative Curriculum System for Preschool is an assessment tool designed for children ages 3 to 5. It is a research-based approach which assesses how children learn best and offers teachers resources to help them prepare for preschool children. The tool is a scientifically based reading research and is approved by both the National Association of Early Childhood Specialists in State Department Education and National Association for the Education of Young Children. Research done by Hartford Foundation for Public Giving in 2003-04 revealed that low-income children achieved better results when taught by teachers trained in the Creative Curriculum System for Preschool.
For children under 3 years old to flourish, they need consistent, loving, nurturing and appropriately challenging interactions. The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos provides easy-to-understand methods to develop these interactions. It not only helps to interact with the young ones but also with their families. The assessment tool has clear organizational structure, is comprehensive and focuses on experiences and routines of the children.
Teaching Strategies GOLD is a creative curriculum assessment tool grounded in 38 research-based objectives. The objectives include predictors of the future school success and are organized in 10 areas of development and learning, including English-language acquisition, broad developmental areas and content areas. The assessment system is for children from birth to kindergarten and is aimed at helping teachers make informed decisions, analyze and interpret information collected, interact more with children, observe the children's strength and to explain the assessment of the children in terms of how, what and why.
The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum assessment tool is used by teachers to plan and demonstrate their programs, analyze children's progress and manage accountability. The toolkit addresses all the developmental areas and is approved by the state. It was developed for children aged between 3 and 5 years.
