Measure each axe of the object and select the two axes whose axial ratio you want to find.
Label each axe. A1 is the longest axe and A2 is the shorter axe.
Divide the larger axe by the shorter like this: A1/A2. For example, if A1 equals 20 and A2 equals 10, the problem would be: 20/10 = 2. To keep the equation in ratio form, you can also simplify it to 10:5 by dividing both sides by two.
