Did Herman Melville plagiarize Amasa Delano in writing Benito Cereno?

There is no evidence to suggest that Herman Melville plagiarized Amasa Delano in writing Benito Cereno. In fact, Melville makes several references to Delano's account of the incident, and even includes a letter from Delano in the novella.
