Why is it difficult for ann putnam to believe that goody osburn a witch?

There is no reference in The Crucible to an "Ann Putnam" who has trouble believing Goody Osburn a witch. However, there is an Ann Putnam, Jr., who readily accuses people of witchcraft throughout the play. Her mother is referenced and is in sympathy with her motivations to accuse people.
