What does a periodical reference list entry include?

Author:

- The last name(s) of all the authors should be listed first, followed by a comma, then their initials (no period).

- If there are more than two authors, list the first author followed by "et al."

Title of the article:

- The title of the article should be written in sentence case (the first word and proper nouns are capitalized).

- Italicize the name of the journal.

- Include the year of publication in brackets following the title of the article.

Volume and issue:

- Include the volume number of the journal in bold type, followed by the issue number in brackets.

Page numbers:

- Include the start and end page numbers of the article.

Smith, J., Jones, A., & Williams, R. (2023). The impact of social media on mental health. _Journal of Social Psychology_, 74(2), 101-120.
