There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
Here's the full poem:
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
I don’t believe it, said Peter, no more than I believe in pixies,
And I don’t believe in pixies,
So there!
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
They often come out in the moonlight,
And dance about in the dewdrop spray,
So if you go out at midnight, be careful to watch your step.
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
They are very, very small.
They wear little hats and little shoes,
And the tiniest coats you ever saw.
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
They have wings no bigger than butterflies’
And their voices are like the humming of bees.
So when you hear that funny buzzing sound,
That’s just the fairies buzzing at the bottom of our garden.
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
I don’t believe it, said Peter, no more than I believe in pixies,
And I don’t believe in pixies,
So there!
