Who wrote there are none so deaf as those that will not hear?

The phrase "There are none so deaf as those that will not hear" is a proverb of uncertain origin, but it has been in use for at least several hundred years. It is commonly attributed to English writer John Heywood in his 1546 work "A Dialogue of Wit and Folly."
