What is pure rhyme?

Pure rhyme refers to the complete identity or sameness of the final vowel sounds in two or more words, which are also stressed in the same way. In other words, pure rhymes have exactly the same vowel and consonant sounds at the end of the word, including the final consonant sound.

Here are a few examples of pure rhymes:

1) Cat - Hat

2) Meet - Sweet

3) Light - Fight

4) Mouse - House

5) Tree - Knee

6) Pain - Gain

7) Sun - Fun

8) Dream - Team

In each of these examples, the vowel sounds and consonant sounds at the end of the words match perfectly, resulting in a pure rhyme.
