How do you punctuate the name of a business in manuscript?

In manuscript, the name of a business is usually italicized. If the business name includes an acronym or an initialism, it is not italicized.

Here are some examples:

* *Microsoft Corporation*

* *IBM*

* *The New York Times*

* *Google*

There are a few exceptions to this rule. For example, if the business name is also the title of a published work, it is not italicized:

* The novel _The Great Gatsby_ was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

If the business name is part of a larger title, it is not italicized:

* The article "The Future of Business" was published in the magazine _Forbes_.
