A character in a story not given much traits?

The man in the brown coat sat in the corner, sipping his coffee. He wasn't particularly tall, nor was he particularly short. His features were unremarkable, with only a hint of weariness around the eyes. His hair was thinning, a shade of brown that could be described as neither dark nor light. He wore a plain brown coat, the kind you might see on any number of people walking down the street. There was nothing about him that would make you remember him, nothing to differentiate him from the countless others in the crowded cafe.

He didn't speak much, only ordering his coffee in a low, monotone voice. He didn't seem interested in the other patrons, nor did he appear to be watching the street outside. He simply sat there, sipping his coffee and staring into the swirling brown depths of the liquid, lost in his own thoughts.

He was just another face in the crowd, a nameless, faceless presence in the bustling city, a man who was barely there at all.
