How did anne franks dad survive?

Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank, survived the Holocaust by hiding in the secret annex of his company's building in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He was one of the only members of his family to survive, as Anne and her sister Margot died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in February 1945.
