When was the comic strip first made?

The first comic strip is generally considered to be The Yellow Kid, created by Richard F. Outcault and published in 1895.

However, it's worth noting that:

* Earlier forms of sequential art existed before "The Yellow Kid," such as cartoons and political illustrations with elements of storytelling.

* The term "comic strip" wasn't used until later.

So while "The Yellow Kid" is widely recognized as the first comic strip, it's not the absolute first instance of sequential storytelling in visual art.
