What is the falling action of messenger by Lois Lowry?

In the novel Messenger, by Lois Lowry, the falling action occurs after Matty has completed his final mission as a Messenger and learns the truth about who the Gatherers are, he must travel with his friend Kira. Along the journey, they face difficult circumstances and challenges. The main character, Kira is wounded, they run short of food resources, and are nearly taken captive by raiders while escaping an enemy city-state during an uprising. With Kira sick they find refuge with the forest folk people to be nursed back to health, and gain an unexpected ally who has a secret ability the could greatly alter all they have known as truth. After this the action rises to Climax.
