Stephanie Brown, the character in DC Comics, first appeared in 1992 in the "Detective Comics" #647.
However, she was originally known as "Spoiler" and was created by Chuck Dixon and Tom Lyle. She was initially a Robin-like character in Gotham City, trying to stop crime.
