* Atlas Comics: In the early 1950s, Timely Comics was renamed Atlas Comics. Lee continued to work for Atlas on a variety of titles, including _Journey into Mystery_, _Tales to Astonish_, and _The Amazing Spider-Man_.
* Marvel Comics: In the mid-1960s, Atlas Comics was renamed Marvel Comics. Lee became the editor-in-chief of Marvel and was responsible for creating many of the company's most popular characters, including the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, and the X-Men.
* Other Comics Companies: In addition to his work for Timely/Atlas/Marvel, Lee also worked for a number of other comics companies, including DC Comics, Fawcett Comics, and Charlton Comics.
