Where was yellow pages invented?

Yellow Pages is believed to have been invented in the United States. There is some disagreement about who exactly originated the idea, but the first widely recognized Yellow Pages directory was published in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1883 by the Cheyenne Daily Leader newspaper.
