Hugh Whitemore (1936-2011) was a British playwright, screenwriter, and actor. He is known for his plays, including:
* Breaking the Code (1986), a play about the life of Alan Turing, a pioneering computer scientist who played a key role in breaking the German Enigma code during World War II.
* The Best of Friends (1988), a play about the relationship between Queen Victoria and her close friend John Brown.
* Pack of Lies (1985), a play about a couple who are drawn into a web of espionage during the Cold War.
