What are two ways sat scores used?

SAT scores are primarily used in two ways:

1. College Admissions: This is the most common use. Colleges and universities use SAT scores (along with GPA, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation) to evaluate applicants and determine admission. Higher scores generally improve an applicant's chances of acceptance, especially for highly selective institutions.

2. Scholarship and Financial Aid Eligibility: Many scholarships and financial aid programs use SAT scores as a criterion for awarding funds. Meeting a minimum SAT score requirement is often a prerequisite for applying for or receiving certain scholarships or grants.
