The objective of the game is to collect cards of the same suit and form sets of three or four cards (called "escaleras" or "escalas"). The player who forms the most sets wins the game.

- Players continue to take turns drawing and discarding until someone forms a set (escala) or all cards are exhausted.
Forming Sets:
A set or "escala" is a group of three or four cards of the same suit, arranged in ascending order. For example, a "escala" could be 3-4-5-6 of hearts, or Ace-2-3 of spades.
End of the Round:
- The round ends when one player has formed a set.
- That player collects all the cards in the discard pile and adds them to their sets.
- The number of sets each player has is counted, and the player with the most sets wins the round.
Scoring and Winning:
- Each player scores one point for every set they form.
- The game continues with subsequent rounds until one player reaches a predetermined score or number of points to win the game.
