A witness is called to the stand, an army doctor who had examined Ronnie before his dismissal. The doctor testifies that Ronnie was fit for active duty and that he saw no signs of mental illness. Ronnie is then called to the stand and he testifies that he was never disloyal to his country. He also says that he was never given a chance to defend himself against the charges that were made against him.
At the end of the day, the judge in the case finds in favor of the Winslows. He orders the War Office to reinstate Ronnie and to pay him back pay. The Winslow family is overjoyed and they celebrate their victory with a party at their home.
