Who invented vowels?

It's impossible to pinpoint one person who "invented" vowels. Here's why:

* Vowels are fundamental to human speech: The sounds we make with our vocal cords are the basis of language. Vowels are some of the simplest sounds, representing the basic building blocks of language.

* Languages evolve: The development of writing systems and alphabets is a long, gradual process. Over centuries, different cultures and languages developed their own ways of representing sounds, including vowels.

* No single "inventor": While specific individuals might have made important contributions to the development of writing, it's unlikely anyone single-handedly "invented" vowels.

Instead of thinking about an "inventor," it's more accurate to consider the evolution of human language and the development of writing systems as a collective effort across cultures and time.
