What does a rabbit symbolize in the book single shard?

The rabbit in "The Single Shard" symbolizes survival and resilience. When Tree-ear finds a baby rabbit, he's so hungry he plans to kill and eat it. But, the rabbit runs too quickly for Tree-ear to track.

Later in the story, Tree-ear uses his pottery skills to create a beautiful celadon rabbit as an apology gift for Crane-man, whose celadon shard Tree-ear had inadvertently broken. Despite Tree-ear's poverty and misfortune, he creates a work of art that embodies creativity, skillfulness, and persistence, just as the rabbit symbolizes agility, ingenuity, and resourcefulness.
