Education in Morocco is divided into three levels: primary, secondary, and higher education. Primary education lasts for six years, starting at age 6, and is followed by secondary education, which lasts for three years. Secondary education is also compulsory and free.
The Moroccan government has made significant efforts to improve access to education in recent years. As a result, the literacy rate in Morocco has increased significantly, from around 30% in the 1960s to over 75% today.
However, there are still challenges in the Moroccan education system. One challenge is the high dropout rate, especially among girls and students from rural areas. Another challenge is the lack of resources and infrastructure in some schools, particularly in rural areas.
